Chromium is an Open Source,cross-platform and Free Web Browser;based on Google Chrome.Chromium is developed along with Chromium OS.Chromium project aims to build a faster,safer and more stable browser for all users.In Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) ,you can install chromium in many ways either by using Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic Package Manager or from command line or manually after downloading debian package or source code but Synaptic Package Manager is recommended for common users.
Install Chromium on Ubuntu 10.04/10.10
#1. Open Ubuntu Software Center OR Synaptic Package Manager.
#2. Then search for “chromium” and in the results click on the row which says Chromium web browser.
#3. Next,click on install and wait for the installation to complete(If you are using Synaptic Package Manager then first mark the box and click on apply to install chromium).
#4. After few minutes the chromium will be installed on your ubuntu computer.You can access it from Applications->Internet->Chromium Web Browser.
