Radiance,Ambiance,Clearlooks etc are the themes which is installed by default.Ubuntu uses GNOME as a default desktop,which in turn implies that you can control the look/appearance of Ubuntu as you want,the only limit is your imagination(Kidding Huh!).
Change Theme in Ubuntu 10.10/10.04
Go to System->Preferences->Appearance and click on theme tab.Another shortcut is – Right click on Desktop then select Change Desktop Background ->Theme.Now select the theme(by left clicking on it) you want to try from the list of available themes.You will notice the change immediately.When you are done just close the window.That’s All.
Installing New Theme in Ubuntu 10.10/10.04

#1 : Download the dropbox installer(*.deb package) for Ubuntu 10.10 from its official website.
#2 : Then open the file(*.deb file that you have downloaded in the above step) with Ubuntu Software Center and click on install to begin the installation procedure.
#3 : Then Restart the Nautilus.
#4 : Click on start Dropbox.Then enter your dropbox account details. Open an Account if you don’t have any Dropbox account yet.

Installing Handbrake video transcoder on Ubuntu 10.10
#1 : Download the .deb(Debian Package) of the handbrake software(Debian because here I’m dealing with Ubuntu 10.10,if you are using other flavor of Linux then choose the appropriate package from the list).

or go to it’s official website.
#2 : After downloading the correct package,open it with Ubuntu Software Center;click on install to proceed.
#4 : When the installation is complete,go to the Applications menu and start using it.

Installing Filezilla(client) on Ubuntu 10.10(Maverick Meerkat)/10.04(Lucid Lynx)
#1 : Open Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic Package manager.
#2 : Search for ‘filezilla’ and click on install(in USC) or check the box(in SPM) and click on Apply.
#3 : Now wait for the installation to complete.
#4 : That’s All , you are Done! Go to Applications->Internet->Filezilla to start the application.
#5 : Now enter the server details – hostname(e.g. wxyz.com),username(e.g xxxxxxx) and password(e.g ******************) in QuickConnect Input Fields and click on QuickConnect.If everything ok,then the server’s directory will be listed successfully.Now save the connection details in site manager if you want to connect again to that server.
